Looks like hiking country to me Austin. My photo's a cheat from last year (you are right - just up the road at Loughborough Lake), but it's below -10c this evening and it looks like this today so no riding for me either.

about -1c here overnight and about +1 to +2c during the day for the past few days. Add some light rain first thing and it makes for very interesting conditions, deffo not for the bike with unpredictable black-ice patches almost anywhere. At least at -10c its predictable.

"Hiking" photos are of Bleasdale, about 3 miles East of where I live. Have been beating out pheasants and partridges for the shoot there 2-3 days a week since October.. Its one hell of a walk, not much distance but mostly straight up the fell-side to try and push the birds out over the waiting guns several hundred metres below. If you are into such thing (as I obviously am) its an awesome place to go. In fact its an awesome place. Period. Heck, I even get paid for it.

Been riding to work and out & about since the freeze control got set a bit lower - challenging, as Austin say's, when rain hits cold roads

I've only been out and about chasing pheasants on the weekend - need to wait for "retirement" before I can fit in mid-week beating dates

Happy Christmas and a great New Year to all Bigtrallie . . . . . . ers

Best wishes one & all.

I rode back from the NE last Sunday after an xmas bash with friends, you know the day they were saying not to travel!
Anyway, a lovely run back if a bit salty & grimey, even had a small snowstorm for the last 10 miles. Not another bike to be seen in 130 miles!
