This is my other son's bike that has been cluttering up my garage for nearly 2 years unused. He stopped riding it in summer 2014 after moving house into a post code where he couldn't afford the insurance. I have looked after it in the garage since keeping it clean and dry and lubed. I put a new battery on it last week and with a bit of petrol it started almost immediately - first time in about 18months I have actually started it. It will be off to the local workshop this week for an MOT and I will deal with any advisories or any issues that come up.

This is the 929cc fuel injected version of the FireBlade. The bike has 24,878miles on the clock and is generally in good condition apart from a small ding in the tank and a scrape on the left hand engine case. Both these happened when my son dropped it while stationary a couple of days before he stopped riding it. (gutted doesn't describe his face when he did it). I have had a quote of £180 to lift the dent from our local dent specialists. The installed gear indicator also needs regulating as it only shows neutral. Other than that its in great condition with no corrosion, pitting, marks, rust or anything and is a testament to the build quality Honda invested in this, one of their flagship models - build quality that seems to be sadly lacking these days. Tyres are good too.

2 owners before my son. The bike is registered to my son and to his home in Todmorden but can be viewed and collected from me in Garstang, Lancashire. It has a good service history, although most of its early life (first owner) is missing, with receipts and/or stamps for services roughly annually at 11,000 miles, 12,000 miles, 15,000, 16,500, and 17,500miles. It has consecutive MOTs from 2006 onwards. It has a META alarm that self arms about 30 seconds after the ignition is switched off. One key has a fob with an alarm button built in, and the other key has a separate alarm fob. The alarm installation certificates and security code are present. There's also a Renntec rack/carrier fitted.

Taking into account the dent in the tank (which to be honest is not that noticeable) I think £2300 is a very good price for an excellent bike.

Dent just on the Honda wing

The bike can be viewed almost any time.

If it ain't sold by the time I get to yours next weekend Austin, we can forgo the trail riding and go buzz a couple of your better local roads :thumbsupanim:

That is one sweet looking machine at what appears to my un-trained, non-sports bike eye, to be a very good price

Now with 12 months MOT. I rode it there and back and it's a great bloody fast bike.
