Taffy Dakar 2017

Hello Boys and girls January the 1st see's the entries open for the Taffy Dakar 2017 based in glorious South Wales. There are two routes. Route A for off road bunnies. Route B for on road and forest track. Road tyres will do. Or like me do them both.
The days riding is quite serious dodging coffee stops, ramblers and other pain in the arses on the trails. This year is any one going to join me for the weekend. If so start prepping the scooters.

Food is good, the bar is good and the whole weekend is a good craic, I camp off site so I can use nice clean toilets and not squashed between a KTM race team and the honda race team.

All bikes except enduros welcome(bollox) loads of old bikes, big boy GS'er's, twins, baby GS'er's, yams, XR's did not see a Yamaha tenere 1200 tho. So there is room for hudders.

I will be riding my GSA with Karro3's attatched.come and have a good iits a scream.
Look at the Taffy dakar web site for past events.

Liar, liar pants on fire.

You'll stick lumpy rubber on the GSA and thrunggggg down to Much Welshness :)

I will provisionally put myself forward for this as an attendee, using the F8GS, seeing as how it's getting lumpy rubber fitted next week in prep for Keilder forest and any other trails that are encountered at the national :thumbsupanim:

Mmmm,

Ye never know. Steve,

Certainly very impressed with the beast so far.
Took me and the strange one through some really good passes on the way here, never missed a beat.

Sitting by the pool in Tuscany at the moment, about to take her to Barga in the afternoon.

For a mile muncher, it certainly ticks all my boxes

Ok thought I would start my off road training, so equipped with my new tourances I went up a nice watery road. Riding on the pebbles on the road was quite scary like riding on ball bearings. Your arse always say why are you riding a 1/4tonne machine in a rain storm off road on road tyres with out a tracker or a second set of arms to pick you up and push you out.

What ever switch to enduro mode throw caution into the rain and hold on tight [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]
