Taking the Long Way home

Chris and I just spent two weeks exploring the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland. She wisely flew - I rode for three days to meet her in St. John's.

On the way back I decided to take the long way round through Labrador and northern Quebec. The Trans-Labrador Highway has been on many ADV'ers bucket list ever since the road to the coast was finished in 2009. I'd ridden in west-east in 2011 on my old Guzzi Eldo. I wanted to see what had changed in 7 years. Answer: a lot. Much more of it is paved, and many of the gravel sections are now road-bed awaiting paving.

Nice one Nick.
Said it before, looks remarkably like the West Coast ( on a good day !! :D )
I would have sworn that first pic was taken on the road between Strontian and Corran.
