Tax Disc

My tax is due this month, and as usual I'll be sticking 12 months on.

Does anyone know for sure if, once the date for not needing to display a disc comes round, I will be able to remove mine from the bike?

Never sure with the DVLA whether it will only be for vehicles taxed after that date or something stupid like that.

I've asked around, and not got a definitive answer yet.

The vehicle tax not being transferred at point of sale as of Oct 1 is going to catch a good few people out.

The fact that the previous owner only gets the full months AFTER the DVLA get your log book, and the new owner will have to tax it from the moment they own it means they are going to be making a bloody fortune out of the motorist again.
Both stand to lose potentially a months worth of road tax that the government will pocket.
