Tent condensation

This subject started with me thinking that my tent was knackered, then watching utube where someone had same issue, different tent. In my case, kyham biker tent, the sleeping part is fine, never notice condensation in that part , but in the open bit, there is condensation on the roof. You can imagine, getting up for a pee, my back touches the roof and cold/wet ensues.
I thought the tent was leaking, I reproofed it and have used a tarp to cover it, but it still got wet, so deduce condensation. The sleeping part has a large vent in the roof, and there is an inner bit that i sleep in.
So, any help/comments about coping with the condensation.
I was looking at the new kyham biker, as more headroom than mine, bit it also has the flat roof bit.

It’s physics. Think about it Rick. ALL nylon tents get condensation to some extent Ventilation is the only thing that helps. Or Get a cotton tent.

Maybe make some more vents in the front of the tent, wonder what that would entail. I do have a full groundsheet so vapour from ground shouldn't be a issue.

Rick,

If you do go the baked beans and cabbage route, beware of wet farts.

Condensation will be the least of your worries :smurf:

Pitch under trees, they recon that you get a blanket of warm air underneath? Ditto use a fly sheet.
