So the time for our Holiday arrived at long last. Jim and Fiona arrived at ours on Sunday 21of june via a little Hobbit hole in Yorkshire.
We had decided to have a look at germanys Frankonian Switzerland near Bamberg as i been in the region a few times but never that far and was told it was a stunning region of germany

We popped over to Chad for a little BBQ and a few drinks
Jim and I where booked on the train early morning so decided to not drink too much as we had a 400 mile journey and the forcast was #@&%$£
The girls where using Ryan air to fly to Nurnberg where we picked them up on wednesday
Panzer ready to roll
Well, the forcast was right We had rain all the way to my former school mates Uli's place near Koblenz
I had the heated grips on al the way as the temp hovered around 10-12'C,Summer holidays???
Next day we carried on for another 200+ miles with showers and still cold but the few of the Camp site when we arrived, cheered us up

Jim and i rested the next day,Jim had covered 2000kmin 4 days and the pub had good cold beer, schnapps and brilliant food
Wild boar gulasch
The game population certainly took a hit in our time there. The Chef was a hunter and they shot and used their own game in the restaurant
The camp site was named after this boy(the hairy one ),well not really, they just found lots of cave bear skeletons in nearby caves
As the region is known for his climbs we could watch these guys from our camp
Found a cave troll nearby
