Bad news here I'm afraid. Chris's shoulder hasn't been right since his bike tumble, made worse by falling and jarring it at work. He's not been able to ride the bike for a while. It turns out he has a torn rotator cuff tendon and requires surgery. Not only will he not be able to ride to the National but it's likely that the surgery will take place around that time. As he will have to have his arm immobilised in a sling for around six weeks, he will need someone around to look after him. And besides, it wouldn't feel right to go to the National myself and leave my best riding buddy behind. Depending on timing of op might be able to pop over in the car to say hello to y'all but won't be able to hang around.

So, the upshot is that I'll be cancelling our room at the inn. UNLESS that is anyone would like it transferred to their name. It is a twin ensuite room, costing £60 per night ( but four nights for price of three). It is based right on the camp site. We have it booked for four nights currently. If interested, please let me know right away as I will be phoning them later today.

Sorry to hear about Chris, sounds like he'll be needing some TLC for a while. After the surgery do what the physiotherapiest says and the pair of you will be out on the bike's before you know it. Take care...... [SMILING FACE WITH SMILING EYES]

Well, as I've been to the last 4 (XRV) Nationals, it'll be rude not to come to this one :)

Could you add myself and Twintec to the list, could well be arriving Thursday

DanH (formally Smokey Dan on XRV)

Anyone going to the National who could help me wire this thing up? Just bought second hand from a buddy and I'm completely tonk when it comes to electrics... and mechanics for that matter.

Of course there'd be a few beers in it for any assistance :)

I was going to have a pop myself until I opened the box.....
