The things you do when away from home . . . . .

Had the sad duty of saying a final farewell to a pal from my school days yesterday down in Cardiff. It was he that got me started on this lifelong motorcycle adventure I've been partaking in for to many years to remember.
As you are all well aware, I'm really a fair weather biker at heart  and I decided that Englandshire and Much Welshness-shire was probably going to be too wet for me to ride my bike down, so I took the car

But . . . . . . . .

. . . . . . through one of my nephews contacts at Riders BMW of Cardiff, I managed to blag a Nine-T Scrambler for the day, to allow me to join a throng of local riders in a very long proccesion behind my mans hearse. The guys at riders could not have been more helpful, so a big shout out for them and the managment of the shop for helping out this fair weather rider .

No piccies of the Scrambler (I'll not be buying one, even if the exhaust note is ace to listen to when the throttles given some excercise :D), but I did have a "try-it-for-size" sit on the lastest in the F series range . . . . .

Yep, not un-like the F8GS, but I think the F850's seat is wider, splaying yer legs a bit more, which gives you less leg length when it comes to putting your feet down . . . . . . or in my case, my tippy-toes :D

It sounds like you made the most of an unfortunate situation Steve.
Shame there's no pics of the R9t, one of BMs better looking offerings

Phil,

In the vid on theWalesonline link you will see me on the bike as we moved off from the car park and then as the bikes roll down the hill later on.

Gotta say that the look of the bike is right, it’s just the riding feel of the R1200 engine that doesn’t work for me.

Just as well that we all like different things, cos it’d be a boring place if we didn’t :D
