Time to Get Dirty . . . . . again

Took the F8GS out this morning and found an open gate that allowed me to get the bikes tyres muddy . . . . .

And this afternoon, the Mountie suggested that we go test the knobblies on some proper dirt . . . . .

You should start a campaign to have these roads open .

Mountie leave the big beastie at home! Looks like you had a cracking afternoon keep it up ...

You'd have thought the Paddy Dakar would've given you your fill lately, Steve. :)

Keep up the good work.

We did about 3 times the off road miles on Saturday when compared to what John and I covered in Ireland. Plus we were "making progress" in an off roady type way, which was really quite exhilarating :eekicon: .

We covered well packed forest trails, loose rock covered sections and some really sticky bits that had recently been graded.

And I blame the Mountie for all of it - since acquiring the Husky he has turned into a mud monster. We spent a good while thrashing round the fields that surround his place (with the permission of the land owner) before we headed for the hills. Blasting around the fields, with the front wheel being guided by the ploughed ruts, was fairly un-nerving until I got the feel for it and just kept the power on and flung mud and straw everywhere :thumbsupanim:
