Thouroughly enjoyed following the TT on ITV4 this week. A good mix of winners and fab weather. I must go one year as never managed it so far. Fave bike has to be the Pattons in the lightweight class. They are truly mad those riders!
Its not cheap though i was asking someone they said it cost them £500 to get there then £500 for a room in someones house for a week. £25 just for 2 x fish and chips. There must be a cheaper way. How much is it to take a bike and campsite fees.
A guy i know loads his bike in his van that he sleeps in when there, goes out the week before the ferries get expensive , stays until the prices come down again before he returns ,

Bloody hell Mike is are they taking you out on their boat to catch the fish?
We camped in Ramsey at the football pitch and it was £8 per night.
Can't say about ferry prices as we went over on Stuarts boat and shared the cost of the fuel so it was a real cheap few days.
Beer and food prices seemed normal, I was expecting them to hike right up but the couple of times I've been they didn't so can't complain regards that.
Ive spoken to a realistic person since its £260 bike and rider or £100 foot passenger for the ferry. £10/£12 camping close to Douglas. Sounds more like it
Thats a bit more bearable. They also fly from Bristol as another option just to watch. The Manx in August is another option and meant to be not quite as mad. Guy just joined our team at work this week just got back from racing a sidecar there as a passenger so I have a new bike bullshit buddy
Its booked we are going for practice week and the 1st race. 5 in a Mitsubishi L200 so plenty of room for gear £170 each for 6 days just need a decent campsite now.
