This has long been one of my favourite songs and Richard Thompson is indeed a brilliant guitarist. Another favourite is Martin Simpson, singing about his father who would 'rather be riding his Norton' is also genius (and another fantastic guitarist). Well this is spooky. Only yesterday I was at a landowner's house, he invited me into his house to see his collection of boy's toys, and there in the middle of his garage was a pristine black shadow.

Well, I admit to having a stiffie
He started her up, I blipped the throttle a couple of times, excellent rasp of the old girl

Plenty of other goodies, ariel, ajs,etc but the shadow was the one that tickled my boat, well, at £50k it certainly looked the part.

I am going back next week, more drooling to come
