Ello, new here but would like to put me name down for this, I am half way through re-assembling an old Africa Twin which should be up and running in time.
My name is Russell, I live in Abergavenny and apparently I'm not normal.
Hi Crusty, I don't know anyone on here who is normal so unless you're sporting 3 legs or 2 heads you've found sanctuary. Welcome, I'm not far away in Pontypool, possibly trundle down together especially if Tone is compiling one of his ace routes.

Ello Stuart, I just checked and as far as I can tell yes, I am a mono-cranial Biped, so all good.
Thanks for invite to meet on the way, appreciate that.
I'll be in touch as soon as the AT is up and running.

P.S. Just been reading the thread and someone mentioned you only need to bring a sleeping bag.
What about a Tent????..and a cooker and stuff?

No need for that as we are indoors. Its bunkbeds so you just need a sleeping bag. There is a commercial kitchen we use. Breakfast Sat and Sunday(well at least some of us :iconmrgreen:) and usually chilli con carne on Saturday evening
Oh and a big common room to sit, drink and talk rubbish till early hours(for some of us:iconmrgreen:)

Judging by the amount of people coming there won't be enough bunks so it'll be first come first served. Remainder will be on camp cots or mattresses. I have to sign for the place and open up, guess where I'll be kipping?!

No. Andy doesn't like chilli so as discussed last year it will be some form of pasta type dish. Breakfasts as usual

Mike, don't deny the the chilli eaters because of me as there is no guarantee at the moment that I will even be there.

Hi, newbie here as you will guess from my question - Can someone explain what this trip is all about? Picking up a ktm 990 adventure r soon and I'm keen to do some adventure style trips - not sure if this is one? Thanks

Its been an annual meet since 2008. The original idea was linked to an endurance ride a few of us were involved with back then and the idea was pretty simple - to practice for the endurance ride, ride to about as far west in Wales as there is, get drunk with like-minded folk, then once the hangover has cleared go for a short or very short ride around the back lanes of South West Wales (green lanes etc are optional and there are some locals who attend and may, if asked nicely, show you the way) before repeating on Saturday night. Ride home Sunday. Its a good do and something to look forward to just as winter is coming to an end.

We started at a Bunk House near Fishguard before moving to an outdoor centre in Pembroke Dock and then the last couple of years to an Army base near Carmarthen. Costs are minimal and we mostly contribute some cash to a couple of members who cook up breakfast and dinners for us all.

I'll be asking for a donation too of £20 per person for the accommodation. A welfare donation to the Camp Commandant's favourite charity. Plus it guarantees us use next year!

Mikey,
As mentioned in my other thread I will not be able to get down to Wales due to my treatment schedule which conflicts with the dates, bit of a bummer really but the treatment takes priority as it will enable me to annoy you all in the future. :)
