Chuckle! I love that you all understand that I have "no sense of my age" when on my bike.

When I explained to another (non-bike riding) friend, the sequence of events... she asked me why did I try to ride home one legged when I was in so much pain and why the heck I hadn't just called an ambulance....... I really don't think she understood when I told her I was worried about getting my bike home safely first!!! :D

Anyway - upshot is that my thumb is broken and has to be strapped up for 5 weeks. My knee is not broken and ligaments seem ok, but it could take up to 2 months for the Haematoma to go down and I'm not back to driving yet.

I don't think I will be able to ride to the National.... but I will be up to driving by then, so am game for the social and the laughter ......and dancing (a little) and window escapology (possibly lol :) ).....but NO WAY am I going to miss an opportunity to see my friends and have some fun :)

Oh and the bruising is looking pretty impressive after 10 days of development...

I'm still waiting for my step brother to send the videos - he has captured all three falls and the good bits of me going through the water crossings :)

xx

Very 1990s Honda, didn't they do an Africa Twin in that? :D

And yes, riding home makes perfect sense. :)

Best wishes and stuff, see you at the National.

I am pleased to say Meesh is recovering well and here is a pic to prove it from our little expedition up the jungle yesterday
