Re: First time out green laning - got the bruises to prove i
Chuckle! I love that you all understand that I have "no sense of my age" when on my bike.
When I explained to another (non-bike riding) friend, the sequence of events... she asked me why did I try to ride home one legged when I was in so much pain and why the heck I hadn't just called an ambulance....... I really don't think she understood when I told her I was worried about getting my bike home safely first!!!
Anyway - upshot is that my thumb is broken and has to be strapped up for 5 weeks. My knee is not broken and ligaments seem ok, but it could take up to 2 months for the Haematoma to go down and I'm not back to driving yet.
I don't think I will be able to ride to the National.... but I will be up to driving by then, so am game for the social and the laughter ......and dancing (a little) and window escapology (possibly lol
).....but NO WAY am I going to miss an opportunity to see my friends and have some fun
Oh and the bruising is looking pretty impressive after 10 days of development...
I'm still waiting for my step brother to send the videos - he has captured all three falls and the good bits of me going through the water crossings
xx
