Out with my new toy today compliments of Bob. This is my third DRZ400 but the first S with all the nice leccy bits and clocks. Cant say it felt any slower than the E models I had but it has been a while!

Lots of leaves on the chewy ground...lovely!

Joined by Leigh on his WR250 Yam....great bike...nice and light if not as torquey.

Where Jumbo's die....Kemble airfield...nice and long so it can take the big stuff....they get broken up for bits here

How deep??

Funny how it starts as a joke... :(

Great day....no major drama....now a hot bath and a glass of rooooge

I went out for a couple of hours yesterday to see how my leg would fare, no further problems today so I'm up for a longer ride when you're free

I went to have a look at Pipehouse Lane as it had a TRO on it back in September and this is what they've done, let's see how long this lot lasts

The new surface can easily catch you out (as I found out), some of it is just road planings....

but on some areas they used much larger stone, one like this shifted my front wheel a good 8 inches and caused my buttocks to clench....

I also found a new (to me) lane on the edge of Bath near the American Museum....

cheers, Bob.

Nice one Bob. Good to hear your leg is a bit better. Pipehouse will be back to normal in a couple of years again I am sure...

And now Dorset! Another run out to the coast yesterday. Followed the sat nav due south including anything showing meant a slightly different run down lots of crap covered country lanes but great fun:

I thought taking away "souvenirs" was verboten ... at least that's what we used to tell the kids when they went through the pebble-collecting stage :D

Chuck us your number Nick. Sometimes its is a bit last minute and also mid week so not always easy to post. How about Sat 2nd jan Warminster services 0830 for brekky, 930 away for a blip around the plain. This is something of a post Chrimbo blow out tradition. Hopefully snowy! More DRZ than Africa Twin!!
