How has your day been?

I decided to wash my Suzuki today but didn't even get as far as the garage, as I was approaching there was a loud crack and then some very crunchy noises coming from down below. After a quick sit-down I discovered that I had snapped the foot on my prosthetic leg :eekicon:

An emergency call and then a trip was made to the clinic but they cannot get a new foot until Monday. Bl**dy carbon-fibre is not as strong as you might think

I'm very sorry to hear about your misfortune. I don't want to be facetious but can't you make a temporary repair with a glass fibre kit just to get you through 'til next week?

Just as well it wasn't while you were out on the bike, stopping for traffic lights
But it's not good, and makes you question the "wonderfulness" of some of these modern composites. Do you still have the spare you pictured in your top-box a while ago, ready to confuse following traffic?

Perhaps the moral is.... don't wash the bike :D

I think the carbon shards would just tear through it.

I am wearing my 'spare' at the moment but it's like walking with a plank of wood for a foot compared to my everyday one :rolleyes2:

Did u tell them u were out greenlaning on wed??

After a consultation with an engineer apparently I fit into the 'heavy user' bracket  so they're giving me a 'higher rated' foot. It's a bit like tuning your suspension :D

Bob was it the KTM leg or the HRC leg which failed. Should get a BMW one.

Try to keep up J, I have a 'Marco Simoncelli' leg now :respect-047:

So we need to be on the look-out for a cider-drinking Wurzel who's taller than Chad?
