Strange that, for the first time for over 20 years I'm taking the car this year. There was so much we couldn't do last year with all the bike kit we're going back on four wheels.hotbulb said:Mikey said:Two weeks, yeeeeah

I have noticed a lot more bikes up here than last year, maybe due to where I'm working, but a noticable difference.
France and Scotland, «the old alliance" ... I know we'd love to visit Scotland againafricajim said:Yes, come Sept Scotland will be so much hassle, what with border controls, customs, security, passport required, and with dodgy weather who would want to go there?

All will be made very welcome to my country! Tourism is a large part of Scotland's economy and will continue to be promoted. There are no border controls entering Ireland, Scotland will be the same.
I took a long weekend on Skye in November last year, yes by motor not bike and loved it! So much to see, if you dress accordingly and enjoy natural beauty, the Scottish highlands can be stunning and well worth a visit, not only by bike!
That said, I do love France!
