Well, it’s happened again (1st time was my last XRV750 – the Green one).
Chatting with a local garage mechanic some 3 weeks ago and he asks what I’d pay for a 1995, 1 owner 600 Transalp that’s got 29k miles on the clock . . . and it has full luggage?
He explained that it was part of a deceased chaps estate and it would be up for sale soon. We both agreed on its worth (much less than the departed chaps wife thought it was) and I then thought no more of it . . . until Monday last week.
I popped into the shop for a browse and a blether, as you do, when the man says to me “You interested in that Transalp? It’s in the van if you want to have a look!”
So I took a look and that, as they say, was that.
It’s now had some fettling and an MOT and is ready for some miles & smiles.
