Had a bloody close one earlier!!!
I was adjusting my chain on the Africa Twin. It's only the second notch I've taken it up since it was put on 12,500 miles ago (DID VX525 Gold and Black). I like to push against the tyre with the top half of my body to keep the cams located in the pins as I'm tightening up the axle nut.
I went in a bit to vigorously (more like an All Black hooker) and hit the tyre. The bike then rolled off the center stand whilst I was sitting on the floor.
She moved forward about half a foot, perfectly straight and I sprang up like a Gazelle and just managed to grab the Top Box before she went down... :idea-013: I managed to save her from a bashing and my pride (and wallet) from taking a kicking.
How it never went straight down I've no idea. I'm just glad I keep the bars straight and she rolled upright for half a foot. I wont be making that mistake in a hurry...
Anyone done anything similar?
