It dawned on me today that my Helmet is about 9 years old. It must be time for a replacement although I have never dropped it and it all seems fine (Shoei Multitec). Its a comfortable old friend and if I could get another I would. But its been replaced with the Neotec and at £549 its a tad pricey.
So, I am after recommendations for something similar. I like a flip front so that's a must. It must also have a pinlock or similar which puts the Shark Evoline out - which is a shame coz I really like to look of it otherwise. Shark Evoline Series 3 Hakka Helmet 2015 - buy cheap ▷ FC-Moto
I do like the look of and sound of the Lazer Monaco https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_cat/2054 its nice and light too and with a Photochromatic visor. (I use a photo chromatic pinlock which I think is great).
Last time I tried on a Schuberth I couldn't get it off my head quickly enough - pressure on my forehead which I think means my head is shaped one way rather than the other. I have had three Shoei helmets and they all fitted great so I guess my head is Shoei shaped. I think the Lazer is a similar shape.
The Caberg Duke and the Caberg Tourmax both look and sound OK on paper although less keen on the Dual Sport look of the Tourmax. I don't know what it is about Caberg but they always seem somehow cheap and bit nasty to me and I have read very mixed reviews about them including poor build quality and noisy. So I am a bit off them - unless someone tells me otherwise.
There's loads of other makes and brands out there so Interested in what experiences there are of other helmets.

edit..... just remembered it must easily accommodate a bluetooth headset (a Sena SMH5)
