You guys are the best bunch of mates a man could have, knowing that you care makes me feel better already. I will keep you posted, just waiting to hear from the Macmillan people to tell me what is going on, and when the real fight starts. :)

Andy that's a shi**er ,I know mate :(. This stuff is all far more treatable these days though .My old man is currently on his fifth month/cycle of Chemotherapy. Still got all his hair,....bit of a miserable face now and again but you had that already !......... Spleen ? The bars of my AT ripped my spleen out a while back,so who needs one anyway !.
I WILL see you later in the year, and if I can manage a tenth of the whisky you can do we'll have drink and talk about nurses !

Stay chipper bro' (I'm living through this lark for the last half year now, 24hrs a day. Staying chipper is essential :ridebumps:!)

Nick. (if there's anything you need ? ....Ask someone closer ! :D)

Sorry to hear that Andy. Great attitude though. As others have said, shout if you need anything - you have lots of friends here.

Thanks for the kind words guys, I hope they can get started asap as I am still hoping to get to the Welsh weekend, how hard can it be?
Andy.
You better be there, no one else will sleep with me:thumbsdown: :taxi:
I'll clean your bike when you get there.

The right attitude for a Scotsman, you're giving nothing away! Thoughts with you and prayers for you.;)

Where did you get the idea that I can't ride my bike while (supposedly) ill? I'll have you know I was out on my bike 3 days last week, whether I make it to Wales will depend on the treatment course timing, I will know more after Monday as I have to go and see the Macmillan people for a discussion on how things are to progress.

I'd assumed those meds will knock you about a bit which would make riding a bike a bit iffy. But should only be temporary, right? Right? Right.

Us ordinary folk don't know or learn much, but I've learnt this Andy.Water is crucial from now on, once your on the meds they'll be telling you to drink plenty of water (if only whiskey where water aye). Flushing through the system is really importendo ! If your not used to drinking a lot of water ? get started now,so that your more used to it later. Everything else is in the hands of the NHS and mate, they DO know how to fix things !

Stay loose.

After a long session at the Macmillan Centre today there is good news, and bad. The good news is that they will start my treatment on Friday, then every Friday for the next four weeks. And the bad news is that I will have to cancel my trip to the Welsh Weekend at the end of the month. :(However, it seems that things are looking good and I will be around to annoy you lot for a while yet. :mockery22:
