Andy sadly passed away early last month (I found out just this afternoon)

Safe & smooth ride on the roads you now travel Andy:smile:

Terrible news. So sorry to hear this. RIP.

Just seen this on FB :( what a character and what a friendly chap he always was. I think we should raise a glass or two at the National in his memory. Thoughts and condolences to the family and friends :(

Well I can't remember where the first photo was taken, but I'm sure good craic was enjoyed by all. :)
We won't see the like of Andy for a long time -- he was witty, sullen at times, ( typical southerner :D ) with a great sense of humour. We now know why he wasn't at Dent, but I am pretty sure he was with us in spirit.
I, personally, am devastated by the news, although I knew he was ill, I somehow thought he may pull through, unfortunately he didn't.
I know Simon kept in touch, and I know he won't mind me saying this, but somehow the news didn't reach him/us in time, otherwise most of us would have liked to pay our respects.
It is a great pity as I am sure most of you can appreciate.
Anyways, RIP Southerner from a very despondent Teuchter :(:( You will be sorely missed

On no, had many the craic with him over the years, definitely raise a glass to him at national.
Will miss him.

Thanks for photos steve

I'm gutted... absolutely gutted...
Your not alone Craig.

Been contacted by the garage where he did most of his bike fettling - REDZ in Selkirk - it was a week from the diagnosis of the cancers return to his passing.

As normal, Andy did things at his pace - in this case, FAST.

Jesus that is bloody quick, fucking cancer, it can get tee fuck!

I only had the pleasure of meeting Andy a few times but he was a character alright. Ride free mate.

Devastating news, he’ll be greatly missed. Livened up a few Welsh Invasions

RIP Andy, always a good yarn with him. He will be missed at the meets .

Bloody hell and very sad news. I am deeply shocked. I got on really well with Andy. Great bloke. Anne is almost in tears.

If I remember correctly he had got Hodgkinsons Lymphoma about 7-8 years ago. I went up to meet him after he got the “all clear” although I believe it’s a thing you never actually get a cure of.

He already lived in biker heaven so I hope them roads just keep on twisting, turning, cresting and rising forever for him. Best wishes Andy.

Does anyone know if we’ve missed his funeral or memorial service or whatever? My respects are due to a great bloke.

Austin,

Andy died on the 13th Oct, with creamtion following before the end of Oct.

And Anne will not be the first to shed a tear - I could barely speak when Hudders called me just after I posted the message on the BT face book page.

One of lifes greats - so glad to have known and ridden with him.

:( This is terrible news, he was always a pleasure to meet at Nationals and led a nice ride out from the Kelso one. I was surprised he wasn't at the National this year so wondered if something wasn't right.

RIP Andy, you will be missed, from Ruth and myself.
