Well the sun came out today and as I was exempted of any xmassy duties I decided to get out on the bike for a couple of hours. I chose a route to try and avoid the traffic and manic shoppers and headed for the coast.
First stop was Clevedon Pier, I spent many a happy day in my childhood playing on this pier, lots of great memories....
I made a quick check on my dads grave in Clevedon and then took the back roads to Sand Bay and around the coast through Kewstoke to get to Birnbeck Pier at Weston. It looks a bit of a mess nowadays with lots of failed attempts to revive it but hopefully someday you will be able to walk along it again....

If you squint and look to the far horizon in this photo you will see a strange land where gobbledygooks and dragons live....
and then a short journey down the road you come to the Grand Pier at Weston which suffered a huge fire in the recent past but has now been totally rebuilt.....
Of course no ride would be complete without a ride down a green lane, so I did this one, Villice Lane in Compton Martin :motorcycle17:
Merry Xmas, Bob.
