I'd love to go to this, but I've no panniers and no tent. Well I do have a tent, but it's a 4 man job that's too big. If I can sort something out before the meet then all well and good...

Get a big rollbag instead of a pannier and stick it on your back seat, you'll be fine :D

Yep, poor excuse loggy :D

As Sharrie says a big roll bag or two & some straps, 20 or 30 quid tent & you're good to take on the world for well under a hundred quid ;)

Yeah I'm sorry I missed a taste of your cake Vader... It looked so tasty, I was drooling over the Icing. :D

But there is a limit to what I was prepared to do for a taste of your cake, and licking it off your face was just a tad too far.... :vomit-1: :thumbsupanim:

Andy,
Get a canoe type roll bag, Ortlieb, Gelert, Mountain Equipment, The North Face type of bag.
Very waterproof, very versatile, very cheap especially if you get one second hand.
Pretty much bombproof too & a lot cheaper than panniers etc, could get some throwover saddlebags like I've got.
There are Ortlieb ones.

I got one of these http://www.swagsnbags.co.uk/swag.html for canoeing but I see that in 3 years its nearly doubled in price. It rolls up quite small and as mine is made of cordura type material not canvas, its quite light. I also take a 12'x8' tarp to put over the upturned open canoe to give extra shelter and I guess that would work with a bike as well.

PS Sorry for all the edits - fecking spell check's doin me heed in

Not strictly true, it's supposed to be a joint event.

Just because most of the organisers are over here is a coincidence :D :D
