Where are they?

Just been looking through some fresh Bike mags, some German, some Swedish and one Brit (MSL).
Then on to the classified Motorcycle ads on the web.

One thing strikes me, where have "all" the Suzuki GS1000S gone? Where are the Ducati Pantahs? Moto Guzzi LeMans I, II or III?
Not even a decent R100RS pre-83 in sight.
I know the market here in Sweden never were that big for any of them, or machines like them,
but they did pop up occasionally from time to time in the 4-sale section.
There were even a couple of Laverda SFC1000 on sale here not that long ago

They were coveted machinery once, and someone must have taken care of them as oposed to a CX500 or a CB650 that was just blend.
Is it the same in the U.K? Where are they, all of them 1970 to 1984 era bikes?
Have they gone to the breakers? (For sure not in Sweden, I have looked), Or could they have ended up with their final owner?

By the way I like the "new" CB1100EX with the wire spoked wheels, six speed tranny and bigger fuel tank.

Pantahs and Guzzis from that era I can all too well imagine they're either well maintained and snapped up before you can blink, or been ran into the ground long ago. The 70-80s era boxers have been getting cheaper (other than the GS-G/S obviously), and are all being cut up for hipsterbobbers anyway it seems.

Any elderly Suzuki GS is pretty much a 500 quid (or less!) bike nowadays isn't it? If you want cheap decent transport though, K75. Can't give them away it seems. Colleague is flogging one. Decent runner, 190k km but looks ok for its age, 725 euro asking price and no takers yet. I was nearly tempted to take it off him as temporary bike, given the state of my GS and my train allergy. ;)

I got a Suzuki GS850g in the garage, now needs TLC salt at the Elephant Rally and in Germany killed it off. Runs fine does 55mpg done 70k miles but is now cosmetically challenged. Fathers had it over 20 years and it is more comfortable to ride than his BMW 1150gs

I had a Guzzi V1000 G5 for 21 years. Sold it 5 years ago for £1000 - it was running well but needed a bit of cosmetic TLC. Bumped into a Guzzi friend today who also has a G5 and says they're fetching £2000-3000 now - even in rough condition :(

The ordinary GS1000E or 1000G can be seen from time to time, but the 1000S? The Wes Cooley replica! Were are they?

Old Guzzis are becoming expensive! 5000£ for a descent LM III and twice that for a early LM I.
Old Californias are also fetching some hefty prices.

I was thinking of getting a Quota just for for fun, but there is no way I could pay that prices they demand on mobile.de

I should have bought that Bimota DB1SR in mint condition for 4500£ when I had the chance!

They must have been a European model as I've never even seen one never in the flesh, never mind seeing any for sale either in the UK or Ireland. Only ever seen pictures in magazines. There can't have been many built in any case.
