Are you looking at the same forecast ??:cool2:

Snowing today and I have to go to Grangemouth tomorrow for a seminar at a silly o'clock start , that VRS is absolute sh1t in the snow:(

Thanks for the comments on the engine, sounds tighter than the old motor , ( should be, 60k miles less on the clock  )
Time will tell if it lasts as long, I will try hard to nurse this one.

To think, we are nearly into May.[/QUOTE]

Drove from Aberdeen to Huntly ( was over for grandsons 4th Birthday, met the wife over there after work), so drove in a bit a sleet no probs

after kids in bed, fish & chips from Huntley's finest chipper and chatted over a nice fire, 9pm wife says oh its starting to lay and so we set off to Alford........

I followed the wife ( fortunately she has snow tyres on the front ... ( me 4x4 pug with snow tyres ), Blizzard all the way ,,,,

mental.....

3-4" of fresh snow.. wife lost it on a bend into a wee bridge , recovered it no problem , I hit the same black ice under the snow and the esp and other trickery battered in and the car did its job.. took us an hour ( 20miles), few other 4x4... on the road all the sensible folk cabined up with fires on...

I know it was forcast but it was still a shock....

Summer next week:cool10:

Well,

My fears were confirmed, set off at 0500 this morning heading south to a seminar in Grangemouth.
Heavy snow in the highlands , on the A9 particularly
Came across a curtainsider on it's side near Slochd summit, unfortunately, just missed a yellow vulture by a metre, pity it didn't take the barsteward out :D, no traffic to speak of, so no major time lost.
Anyways, cracked on slithering until I came to the lowlands where no snow at all ????

Would appear us Highlanders have obviously upset the weather gods

Again :cool2:
