Beware, the southern, hair-pinned side of the Healey Pass in West Cork/County Kerry has been resurfaced.

Lots of loose gravel causing front wheel deviation during braking and cornering !

Looks good to me :whistle::blahblah:

Yeah, but you ride on gravel that has never ever been fixed to anything other than more gravel :respect:. Over here, where we have proper grippy roads, gravel is a thing to be feared and respected in equal measures.:motorcycle:

Not re surfaced, more like surface dressing.
We have it up here as well. 6/10 mm dry chips laid onto emulsion base. Used to be spread onto hot cut back bitumen which worked really well, but had it's issues with H&S for obvious reasons.
Problem is the emulsion is not as grippy as the cut back and is prone to chip rejection especially at corners, which is where you don't want chips to lie :(

Always a issue up here, bit of an ass twitching moment for me :p

Surface dressing is the devils work I tell you, helped by the local council penny pinchers who prefer this method of surface friction re-generation cos it's cheaper :mad:.

Had a few "moments" whilst out & about yesterday. Certainly excercises the spincter! muscle :eek:

If you rode off road more you find it no problem at all. A few gravilons on the road, piece of piss !

just saying :D
