As you said Seat(s) as opposed to seat, I reckon it's a GS of some description.................

well I was going to post pics but apparently I have to pay to do so (?)

So, no pics.

however, I picked the bike up Triumph Tiger 800 XC, 2011 in orange ( cos that's the fastest colour), nailed the 'phone holder on the bars, at the same time discovering that the 12v to usb adaptor that i had won't go in the socket on the xc properly and falls out rapidly, and set of for home.

5 hours later, got home, simple as that. that's how effective it is!

I'll do a (no pics) ride report if you ask nicely...

You shouldn’t need to, I’ll have a look in to it.
I do have a target of 3 subscriptions every month to cover the running costs of the forum, so I’m keen to keep people subscribing at a tenner a year and less than £1 per month, but restricting pics isn’t how it’d do it so I’m sure I can sort it.
How are you trying to add pics?

Sorry Dave, my error. I thought it was odd and not you're usual way of running things but I was getting a message reading " go to account upgrade" instead of the pics I tried to upload. I didn't actually read ALL the message, put 2 and 2 together and made 37 and a half as I often do andthe only account upgrade i could find was the "forum supporter" thingy. It turns out that the problem is not with the forum at all but from photobucket where the pics were hosted. I have since been informed that photobucket is on it's way down the tubes and encountering endless problems. Somebody, I think Hotbulb, explained on my ride report post, that we can upload directly to the site so I did that for a couple of pics in the ride report. Thanks, and sorry for the bother.

I haven't been on any forums much since the "demise" of max bikes and am still looking for a "local" as it were. If I find myself using big trailie more I will eventually be happy to subscribe.

cheers,

MooN

Nice one! Indeed, what is not to like?!? For me, one of the sensible things Triumph has done is produce a range of similar bikes (XC/XCx/XR/XRx) so you can choose the one that is closest to your desired bike without resorting to (too many) optional extras. The problem with optional extras? 1. Rather expensive. 2. They can be problematic with some insurance companies.
Never actually ridden one though (yet).
