Eldest has had an urge for one of these for a while, so when this one came up locally, being sold by a chap I know, seemed logical to take a gander at it . . . . . . and the rest is, as they say, an empty bank account . . . . . . . till he sells his F800GS Trophy.

Along with a few nice little farkles the short arse seat is noted.

2006 with 22k miles.

Has Hyperpro lowering kit fitted plus low & standard seat. Even I can flat foot with the low seat fitted, and I get a good foot plant with the standard seat set low.

Eldest has lost a lot of muscle tone and even with gym work he is finding it difficult bulk up and thus gain confidence to balance the F8GS (even with the lowering kit fitted).

Not sure about me getting hooked on it - still not enthused about the bike rocking beneath me when the throttle is blipped . Time will tell - if I'm allowed to get my arse on the seat often enough

Thanks for the comments chaps. Hopefully eldest son will be able to use & enjoy it.

I have popped up an advert for both mine and my sons F800GS in the for sale section - which ever one goes first, I keep whats left
