Woke up early, couldn't start building till 9 ish so went out in the fog. Great wee ride.

Also need new new boots or pegs. Lost my footing a couple of time offroad.... Not good

Have your pegs got rubber cleats in them? if so take them out and you'll probably get a better grip.

Yes they have but I am still in my road boots so thought they would be better in??

The rubber bits get slippery when damp, does nothing, whatever the boots.

I like the side lights on the crash bars.

Very affective at night as the light up a good patch around the front of the bike. Front wheel, forks etc.

Take the rubbers out.
My Africa Twin didn't have them when I bought it, use road boots all the time. Some folk say they wreck the sole of the boot, but I haven't had any issues in six years, but I do find it gives you good grip when standing on the pegs.
I do , however , insert the rubber bits when travelling long distances, saves vibration through the pegs.
