Clearing my work desk last week and came across this sitting underneath all 16+ years of accumulated rubbish in my desk drawer . . .

XRV Cal 2012.JPG

Last one produced by XRV Inc. if memory serves me correctly.

Anyway, opened it up and January slaps me in the face with this set of pictures . . .

Thats my old Dazzle Alp along with me & Jim dicking about in the snow circa Dec 2011

Finally comes December, with the 1st of the 4 F800GS's that I've owned . . .

Rachel had that picture of John in his kilt in her office at work as bit of respite when things got a bit too much.

How can that picture not raise a smile? :)

I still have some of mine up in the loft, good reminders of times past. I also still use my XRV.org mug in work .

Them were the days right enufff Steve, thanks for posting. :)

I thought I looked rather fetching, don't know what made Rachel giggle ?
What I do remember is going commando which may have been a mistake once I got past the snow line. I had just come back from watching the rugby at Murrayfield , in the kilt, and foolishly decided to ride up the A9 in the kilt where this photo was taken, just above Daviot.
I overtook a few cars on the way there, god knows what they were thinking :D

XRV has a lot to answer for.
Mainly, a lot of good guys and gals that I now classify as friends

Meant to say, good to see Jimbo in fine form, still miss him.

That might have been the calendar that Richie did from memory. Great pics.

My current bikes...

HP4 Carbon, mainly track use on this now.. fantastic machine and still looks amazing in the flesh..even though its 8 years old.. never skipped a beat in 35k from new.. with the exception of new reg/rec in March and dozens of tyres in that time..

Bought this new M Sport last month, stuck a full Ti system just last week along with some vastly expensive M Sport carbon panels.. sounds amazing, pushing circa 212 brake..

Just Sold in June...my F3 800 RC.. stunningly beautiful, bought as my daily ride but belongs firmly on track, too focussed and couldn't get on with it, so has to go after only 4 months..

Rebuilt C1 10R.. tracked it last year.. what fun.. monster power, short WB.. a real handful on track and road.. Sold March..
