Returned to biking after a 12 year gap; just 3 weeks ago I bought a 1997 Beemer F650ST off ebay because it was cheap, lightweight and as a carb model, easy for me to work on. It is low mileage and in good mechanical condition, but needed some cosmetic TLC and a service. I had the first decent run last Sunday when there was a break in this God-awful weather and I had forgotten just how much fun biking can be - still can't wipe the smile off my face!
