Bastard week continues. Was worried about total lack of both pain and movement in right bicep. So second opinion, xrays, bloody MRI even. Nothing broken indeed. 7 hours in the ER, the record for today. More tomorrow with the neuro dept.

Wheee... :)

Anyway, the state of things: Sore, which was expected. A surprising lack of bruises. And the right arm that doesn't work at all at the elbow. Like Kermit flopping about without the strings. They think there's a pinched or stretched nerve somewhere, and those "usually" recover. Certainly hope so... Somebody hand me a soldering iron, lemme fix this wiring loom.

It's the small things...

Achievement unlocked: I can in fact still wipe my own bottom and do up my own jeans. Just about. Thank heavens for that.

Anyway. Plexus damage it is, then. Stretched, they say, not torn. There is some slight movement so it's not completely gone, just not nearly enough strength to hold my own forearm horizontal. Should recover, but will take a while. Also just had word that there was in fact something broken in my right shoulder, some chip off the edge or something. Achievement unlocked, again, my first broken bone. ;)

Meanwhile, you UK lot have it easy with your car gear levers on the left. :D I can't even drive now.

Can't even work an auto. Can't even shake hands. What I can do is lift my arm up. By about this much:

On the plus side, I've just been offered a replacement GS frame. :)

You certainly seemed to have knocked yourself about a good bit, Michel. Hope that the pain killers are helping.

When you get around to doing the physio exercises, for goodness sake don't stint on them. You'll reap the benefits if you stick to the exercise regime. I know I did.

Anyway, enough of this. How about taking your mind of the aches and pains?

The Goodwood Revival is being streamed live all weekend - currently a load of Manx Norton's and Matchless G50's qualifying.

Oh, and the qualifying for the MotoGP this weekend is on now as well.

Sorry to hear about your accident Michel you sound like you have come off relatively unscathed.

When I was 15 I crashed my bicycle and damaged a nerve in my shoulder. I had also broken my collar bone. First bone I had broken and at the time I wondered what all the fuss was about over broken bones as I was pain free and I thought being unable to move my arm was a symptom of the broken bone. It wasn't until a follow up about 3weeks later that anyone realised what else I had done. They said if nerve is crushed then will recover but if severed then no chance. Anyway after about 6months of twice weekly physio involving mild electric shocks to stimulate the nerve the feeling came back and and then another 6months to get strength back. Apart from the occasional sharp twinge it's been fine ever since.

DO WHAT THE PHYSIOS TELL YOU TO DO!!!!
