Good to meet you, Rob.

That stupid cow selling `POLITE` hi-viz police look-a-like gear, is still boiling my piss!

I remember a discussion taking place about that and the view from a couple of serving coppers was if the purpose of the gear was to give the impression that the wearer was a policeman (regardless of what it actually said) then they could be done for impersonating the police. In the same vain it was felt if one put "The POLICE) on a piece of gear in a style and font similar to that worn by the police and tried to claim you were paying homage to the band of the same name you would also get done.

A stripper was done for impersonating an officer in Aberdeen for simply having a police type uniform with the word STRIPPER on it. He was also done for carrying an plastic truncheon as an an offensive weapon. Consequently overturned when common sense prevailed.

Been there, done that. Big Trailie's stand at the Manchester Bike Show - lots of interest and hundreds of leaflets handed out . . .

nigelphoto and Paul-S tried the 'roll-up, roll-up' market trader method

Sally and Lulu took a more relaxed approach

Meanwhile on the next door stand Whealie's Africa Twin was very popular

Finally Lulu went for the direct sales technique which got lots of customers

Some other bikes because I like them -

Ian Coates' 200,000 km Africa Twin

EMW R35

Rudge Ulster

The end of a hard day

Back home. Was a good experience with quite a few interested punters. Saw Paul Takoda, which was cool. Missed Ian Coates bike though :( good to meet Nigel and Sally, and of course to see Whealie and TGLW again

Whoops! Forgot to say, good also to see Paul-S again

Great effort by all you lot. I got home via a stop to buy my daughter her first motorbike - a Yamaha DT50.

It's not quite a Big Trailee but it's a start.

Thanks so much for sharing your space, Chris and for all the help you gave us. Great to meet some Big Trailies and thanks so much to Lou for doing the afternoon shift. Now what about Stafford at the end of April???

No but I have a good grudge memory

He does too, even alcohol does not dull his memory so if you think you can get him whilst he's drunk, then watch out for buttered toast of a morning; especially if you have a bald head! :D

Russ,This thread had just "passed me by" as it had * Manchester * written into it ! :D

So news of Mel's troubles has only just come to my attention. I really hope things are looking better (for you both) now. I think Stan and myself will be having another chillout at the Barn next weekend. You'd be most welcome to come down again for a breather. Usual - tea, fags, b**locks. :cool2:

I thought you might have got it.

Third from last is the bike, then there's a close-up of the clutch, look what the clutch is pressing when pulled in.
