Been bucketing down all morning, cleared up around 1 pm. Good time for some forest roads.

It must have absolutely filthy last time I saw it, as it was black. :D

Please tell me you've repainted it and it's not that my memory is not what it once was. ;)

Some were brown, really.

Did you know that or discover it after you cleaned them? :D

Sorry, being cheeky. Tell me to s*d off if you want.

Nah it's fine. :)

The fairing crash bar was more brown than black when I replaced it. The tank is 35 instead of 24 liters so replaced for obvious reasons.

It's still a bit shabby as bikes go, but it's slowly getting better.

Nice one Michel :thumbsupanim:

Being the ignoramus that I am I didn't imagine you had a lot of forests where you live.

I don't, where I live it's all water and dyke roads. :D

This was in the area where my parents live, near Apeldoorn. Heaps of green stuff there...

Unfortunately most of it is Verboten for bikes or really anything containing an engine that doesn't also contain the forestry service, most of the more interesting stuff is off limits or are closely guarded secrets, so all I could find were some fairly boring flat roads that just happen to be sand/gravel instead of tarmac. Still. And I'm a crappy offroader to begin with on a bike that's too heavy so oh well.

That paralever rear suspension makes some painful sounds when you hit some deep holes and ruts at 30 mph.

Also, the K60 Scout 21" front tyre is rubbish as a knobbly, even on this sort of novice stuff it feels like it might as well be a road tyre. Unfortunately TKC80s really don't work on-road with this bike for some reason. I might try the TKC70s next time...

Case in point...

Note the distinctly lower ground level on the right...

Here's a Dutch landscape for you. The smell was quite something else, too.

Yes but then she must be approaching 100,000 miles by now :thumbsupanim:
It'll be a while before I see that again, that ship sailed 3 years ago. I even made a picture of the occasion. :D

Currently heading for 2 ton in km. Less than 2 tanks away...

Great photos Michel, just goes to show, flat is sometimes beautiful :D :D , thanks for posting

Judging by the green crud on your dials, are you still parking your bike below those Dutch trees again ???? :p

Nah that pic is from 2012, by now it's got a whole new white fairing as seen in the other pic.

I swear one of these days I'm going to hose the thing down.
If only because it's caked in sand from a bit of a dirt road bimble earlier and now that I've got the garage it doesn't rain off anymore.
