That works for me.
Tickled Trout services, what, 9.30ish?
Whoops (it helps if I read...). Tickled Trout is t'other side of the F of Bowland, ain't it. But yes, it waspissindown. I bought a new pair of rain pants in the outdoor store next to Ye Olde Naked Man.
Tickled Trout is the service station on the M6 / A59 junction and is a convenient meeting point. The main ride out starts from there, into the Bowland Fells somewhere along the way, and Settle a good end point after a couple of hours on roads that would freak out most Canadians
.
I think Anne's favourite shop is in Settle - it would have been behind you as you took that photo - "car and kitchen" and sells Kitchen stuff, gifts, (good) cards, clothing, boots & shoes, and some quirky one-off stuff as well as a cafe. Strangely it does sell anything to do with cars. Once I have done a quick round of the kitchen stuff I am out of there.
And, pants!!.....Pants are what one wears under one's trousers - I bet you got a funny look asking for rain pants in that fine Yorkshire shop. You really have gone native
Oh, and if anyone is planning to come along on this run you had better let us know soonish so we either know to wait at Tickled Trout or to meet you somewhere.
