Hello,
Some of you will know tat i organise vey informal, i.e. ni rules, points, competition, prizes, etc. events j¡here in Spain, called HISS.
So, here are this year's dates:
HISS v1 - the original version in the Pyrenees - June 12 - 16th
HISS Challenge - totally amazing trails in the sierra of souther ¡n Teruel, central Spain - June 19 - 23rd
HII Big Tread - a 50:50 trail:road gig, again in Teruel, naturally aimed at big bikes wanting day trails and the rest road routes in Spain - September 11 - 15th
All of the above are based at camp sites and the latter two have bungalows, etc. The HISS events are basic with the emphasis on the whole 'adventure' experience ...
In contrast, I'm also involved - as an 'official' Event Partner no less - with the Horizons Unlimited HUMM Sierra de España navigation event. The HUMMs differ considerable from the HISS events in that they are a9 competitive with points and prizes and b) are 'gold plated0' being based in 4* hotels, have recovery service, 'Spot' tracking for safety, etc. and include f***-of gala suppers, etc. ...
The first HUMM in Spain since 2010 happened last year - thanks to yours truly - and was a gas (see their web page) and so we are going again in October - 2nd - 5th.
