I've just got back from Italy where we were nursing my father-in-law, unfortunately the disease got the better of him and we ended up attending his funeral.
Then Tony texted me to tell me of this sad news as well, Frad was a great guy, always liked a laugh and will be sorely missed.
My condolences to Catherine and his family, RIP Rob.

Have just seen this. Need to arrange time off, but don't anticipate a problem. Is there a rendezvous for East Midlands posse to meet up?

Sadly I'm unable to join the throng.

Raise your voices for me when saying the final farewell to The Big Fella

Just read this after getting back from a trip to Scotland. What a shame - Frad was an absolutely top bloke, always facing his illness with good humour. Unfortunately I can't get to the funeral due to work commitments, but I'd like to pass on my warmest condolences to his family. Rest in peace mate.

I'm playing it by ear at the minute. Have a large concrete pour beginning next week, going to keep in touch with my site guys, see if I can stay down, not going to commit at the moment.

Thanks for keeping us informed Phil

Hi all, we are popping to see Catherine en route to the National on Friday so will have more info re meeting up then, I shall update the first post as appropriate

There has been a great response, some lovely, touching thoughts and memories that we all have of Rob, it looks like there will be a good turn out at the funeral.

Just got back from holiday and seen this.

Rob truly lived every minute. An inspiration for us all and a sad loss. My thoughts are with Catherine and Rob's family.

I have booked the day off. Will keep watching for updates on meet up point for escort ride.

Sad news indeed.
