I have owned my CRF250 Rally for nearly six years now. Bought new in 2017, two trips to France, TET, commuting and lots of trail riding. Not once has it ever let me down and given me 80mpg gallon no matter how much I thrashed it.

But ................ there is no getting away from the fact that it is a heavy bike for trail riding . It has never really bothered me until recently when I had to pick it up in a snotty lane and I realised that I'm not getting any younger

So today I went to look at a lighter bike (and bought it) specifically for trail riding.

Yes, it's a Honda CRF250X................

It's fecking tall but weighs 40kg less than the Rally so fingers crossed .
