Artwork...

Just thought I'd share some artwork that I have recently done. I hadn't drawn in over 20 years and got the urge again.

Ordered a sketch pad and some pencils and our Ellie wanted me to draw Elsa from Frozen.

Next I drew a picture of our Ellie holding a baby.

I ordered some colour pencils to try because I'd only ever done pencil, I gave them a test today.

I'm waiting on some art supplies to arrive, specifically a set of charcoal pencils because the graphite ones leave that `shine`... Can't wait to try them out. :)

Don't know why I stopped really... and the strange thing is, I was never good at drawing faces, and the only thing I've drawn is bloody faces or part of them! lol

Thanks Andy, I think? lol

Yes Michel, it wasn't really like that on the photo but it just turned out like that on the drawing. That bloody eye just seems to follow you! haha...

Always jealous of people with arty talent. I can't draw a straight line (or a curved one), clap a rhythm or sing a note. But I love looking at pictures and listening to music. Your stuff looks great Craig but I would stick to doing it for pleasure as it will soon become a drudge if you do it for money. Unless of course you can knock out a pic in a few minutes and flog it for a months wage.

Don't worry, I'm not good enough to make a living out of it, there's loads of people out there who can draw good, some of them can draw so good it looks like a photo!

It's definitely just for pleasure because the Elsa drawing took 5 hours, the Ellie (with baby) drawing took about 4 hours and the eye was about 3 hours.

I'm hoping to progress (in black and white) towards photo quality drawing but I know from doing this stuff that it's days, if not weeks for one picture.

My advice would be to give it another go Steve, I hadn't drawn for about 20 years and I'm really enjoying it, go on, you know you want to! :)

I'm jealous. Have always wanted to draw but could only ever managed crap stick men drawn whilst grasping a crayon in my fist.

You should pursue your talent, clearly something going on there
