Bodgers' Corner

. . . . and here's a link to the thread on XRV . . . . http://www.xrv.org.uk/forums/bodgers-co ... oject.html Steve T 8-)
I have a handle bar mount but not particularly happy with it. Seats skewed to the left and not right in front where it should be, well clear of the rest of the clocks...... Anyone has a different one that sits right in front above the clocks...
would anything related to working on Vaders bike qualify as Bodgers corner
Time to make the Transit seat more than 3 bums as the clock is most definitely ticking.... Marking up the floor to position & make sure none of the 16 bolts end up where they shouldn't. After drilling the holes, time to add packing to...
I went out a bit earlier today as rain was forecast and I got home just after 3PM and the rain started soon after. To save from getting bored I shut myself in the shed and set about fitting the tool tubes that I had on the BMW, no point in...
Just found this AT for sale on Donedeal - with a rather dubious exhaust bodge. If I'm not mistaken, that's a 2006 on Transalp exhaust. And it really, really doesn't look right at all. Especially since the bottom of the side panel has been...
not a bodge, but following a couple of stupid car drivers not hearing my audible warning device,i have now fitted 2 replacement units. now have the twins and they produce 190 db of noise.now it's beep beep and leave them with their ears bleeding

Made a front Rack this afternoon Just needs a clean up and a coat of paint. Then some rear ones to make.
...then there's Bodges. How about this one? Had a real WTF!? moment when I saw this bodge earlier this morning. Yes, that is a clear-ish plastic panel taped into the translucent polythene with parcel tape. Nit wits!
nicked straight from the latest issue of Motorcycle Explorer Magazine
A colleague has bought a bike recently. Fazer 600, for the commute. He complained that the headlight was a bit naff, asked if I could have a look. Sure. Yep, the little metal cover thingummy over the dipped beam light bulb was hanging down...
Here's what I've been upto tonight in 'badgers corner' .... Putting the handles on my panniers I built. Total cost is about £90. Not bad for a couple of Saturday mornings.
I have no particular desire to do this but as the Varas 19'' front was out for a tyre, I couldn't help noticing the vfr750 front spare, laying around the garage.... After a moment of 'I wonder if' the white 17'' front was offered up, with Vara...
I managed to lose the cover over the swingarm pivot nut a while back. Goodness knows where it went - I even cleaned out the shed but couldn't find it. Must have been "lost on the road". Yep, I have realised that the footrest hanger needs...
It's not bike-related, but if you've any interest in engines, their design and development, I think you'll find this site entertaining! http://www.eldensengines.com/ I'm amazed at Elden's scratch-building abilities....and his perseverence...
Well, the blanking grommet idea worked and it didn't fall off whilst I was out the other day bimbling about but, and there's always a "but", could it be better? Had another look round and found, from the same supplier, a plastic 38mm blanking...
Now this is one mans dream made a reality. Saw it on the Bay, going for the best part of 20 grand. Call me mad but I'd love to have it !
Do any of you bodgers have any suggestions on how to make up a quick release device for fitting my ammo boxes onto a rack system I have found for my 94 Dominator? :drinking-43:
I fitted this ram mount 1" 6mm ball using a 32mm x 6mm threaded bar with locking nut, it's a perfect position for the camera, tried and tested I'll try and post a few pics
