A Picture a Day

Yeah good to be back on it. Unfortunately it was timed a bit shit with the National, but 2 weeks between first ride post-op and having to get on the ferry is a bit bitty... Good thing I have lots of experience with not going to Nationals so I've totally got this. ;)

just be sensible mate, I think you are doing the right thing and you are obviously very good at missing nationals........practice makes it perfect lol

I'm feeling pretty good by now, and it might well have worked out fine, but it would've been a gamble. There's only so long you can put off actually booking the ferry and once that ferry is booked, there's pressure to go even if it doesn't feel right.

Oh well. Where's next year's going to be? :iconmrgreen:

Been a week since I rolled some decent, non-shopping miles under the bikes wheels, so into the hills I did a-wander . . .

No where new for me, but the bike got its first real taste of wet & sticky. Didn't really appreciate how much rain we've has over the last week

#1 reason not to get a BMW GSPD: That bastard fairing.

Had the charge light go dodgy. It's a 2 quid lightbulb but in order to get at it I had to take most of the front end apart and get the extended vocabulary online and warmed up... :iconmrgreen:

Turns out, not the charge light. I mean the bulb was in fact dodgy, but with a new bulb the bastard still didn't charge. So it was time to dig into this lot...

All the expensive bits have good resistance, so provisionally that seems ok:

But ahha that rear brush seems to be getting a bit thin.
Main suspect identified, waiting for parts...

A few pictures from this week.
1st is a red dawn. That saying “red sky in’t morning, shepherds warning” was bang on – big winds throughout the day following this colourful start

The wonderful autumn colours coming out along the banks of the Spey near Grantown

These are from yesterdays ride, again taking in the colour changes of the beech tree leaves . . .

The view east as I cross the Cabrach moor – sunshine and black clouds at the same time

The “blueness” of the air in these next pictures is smoke from a huge muir burn to the west of the Cabrach. I think the big rise in wind speed had led to the burn getting away from the keepers
